The Icarians are a flying race found mostly grouped in Avrice, where they fly through the Gale Caves. They use and controll the winds as they please with their inborn bardic magic, which is usually cast by whistling. Some Icarians cast wind-magic through singing or humming, but most are comfortable with whistling.

Icarians see themselves as an "enlightened" race. They are a peaceful people who, while cunning and quick, use their wits to bring joy and worship their gods in clever performances of dance, song, and theater.

Most Icarians are pale-skinned, with their arms melting into graceful feathers. They typically have blonde hair and brown eyes, though there is the rare "black sheep"- an Icarian with black hair. They also prefer loose, but practical clothing. Flowing garments are worn for special occasions, but they find that it's impractical when flying.
